Michael Geldreich

What will happen if nothing happens anymore? When the world stands still and there are no distractions? Michael Geldreich creates music that arises out of this notion. With his minimalistic piano compositions, he expresses the sounds that are usually overheard in our daily lives and transfers his listeners into pensive and vulnerable as well as powerful states of mind. He creates his compositions out of improvisation and the momentum and views himself more as a medium than as an active force of music. His pieces reflect his desire to capture the present moment and everything it entails, providing it to his listeners as an opportunity to decelerate from their lives. In the past he has worked as a producer and composer with artists such as Cro, Mark Forster, Felix Jaehn and Annett Louisan. His compositions were also featured in several feature films. With his electronic jazz project, Rufus Dipper, he debuted as a solo artist with the release of the album „Life in a Day“. As an artist he returned to the piano as his instrument of choice, and is currently working on compositions that are to be released this year.
