LÄHIÖBOTOX

Lähiöbotox is a six-piece metal group hailing from Roihupelto, East Helsinki delivering their unique approach to metal. Lähiöbotox combines heavy metal riffs to rap vocals with a two-vocalist setup – in Finnish. The band quickly rose on the radar of the Finnish metal scene in 2020 after releasing their debut album ’Rikkinäinen Suomi’. The debut was welcomed with praising reviews bringing them the Metal Album of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year Emma nominations. In 2022 the Lähiöbotox released their second full-length album ‘Itä-Metal’, which took the band to tour actively, play at Finland’s biggest rock and metal festivals, as well as join Nightwish at their two arena shows in Finland in 2023. In early 2024 the band signed a recording deal with Ranka Kustannus and released their third full-length album Surullinen tapaus - sellaista on vapaus in November. Lähiöbotox can be also seen in Yle’s documentary African Metal Tour which was released in spring 2024.
