Rebecca Lopez

I was born in Mexico. I grew up singing with my siblings - pop music, country music, Latin music, and religious music. As I got older I branched out on my own and began writing music and singing solo. I went on to study music (music theory, songwriting, and recording technology) at Brigham Young University. In 2006 I was runner up for Latin BMI Peer Music Awards songwriting competition. In 2011, I received a Bachelors Degree in the field called “Media Music”. I have performed many times for audiences of all sizes, in many different genres. Also, I have recorded my voice on many different albums for other artists. I am currently working on my first album of original songs. It is something I have dreamed of doing for over a decade. It’s an amazing feeling to work toward something for so long and finally see it happening. I love to write songs just as much as I love to sing. Both forms of art provide a way for me to express very deep feelings and to show love to those who hear my music. I am a mother and a wife. I am a friend, sister, and a daughter. I am a woman in the music industry, and I am extremely proud of it!
