The Karma Effect

The Karma Effect are the UK masthead of new young bands bringing irresistible melody, raw soul and huge rock'n'roll choruses screaming into the 2020s. FFO: The Black Crowes, Foreigner, Aerosmith, Bad Company The Karma Effect’s third album ‘Cruel Intentions’, due in May, 2026, unleashes 12 tracks of grit-soaked, hip-shaking rock’n’roll, drenched in the band’s signature 80s-flavoured swagger but pushing into a darker, sexier, more hard-edged territory. Mixed by award-winning producer Romesh Dodangoda, the record captures a reinvigorated force of energy from the band’s new lineup, channelling raw chemistry and bolder, more seductive sonic textures throughout. Built on a spirit of pure vigour, Cruel Intentions was shaped in an intense, immersive creative period—an essential reset that allowed the band to carve out a new identity without losing their timeless rock pulse. “Making this album gave us the energy we felt we were always searching for—charged, dangerous, and liberating. That’s exactly what we want listeners to feel the moment they plug into it,” the band share. ‘Cruel Intentions’ is due for release on 15th May 2026 via Earache Records, and is available to pre-order now at earache.com/thekarmaeffect on coloured vinyl, CD, cassette and digital.
