Benji Mikel

Benji Mikel is a 22 year-old, self-produced prodigy from San Ramon, California in the Bay Area. With his roots firmly grounded in the west coast, Benji's relocation to Southern California has further fueled his musical voyage. His sound, fusing West Coast pop-rap flows and the soundscapes of Toronto R&B, is both revolutionary and captivating, showcasing his ability to blur geographical and genre boundaries. Starting off posting music on Soundcloud in 2017, Benji has since garnered almost 2 million plays across his solo project and his duo, JTB x Benji. His song “No Joke,” a single off his first solo mixtape “Sunsets in August” in 2020, caught the internet’s attention, crossing over 2 million streams to date. In early 2023, he released his fully self produced album with JTB entitled “When It Hurts Too Much To Wait,” demonstrating his more refined production and evolving style.
