SHōTA LōDI

Of half Japanese and half American heritage, SHōTA grew up inspired by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, and other 60’s legends from the influence of his father. With his smooth voice and edgy melodies, Shota is a multi-talented artist who is talented in songwriting, guitar, and piano. When he was 16 years old, SHōTA left his familiar surroundings of America and traveled to his mother’s country of Japan. In 2017, his collaboration with the electronic DJ Groovy Workshop, “Party Girl feat. SHōTA LōDI” was released and reached no.1 in the Japan iTunes store EP ranking. In 2019 SHōTA LōDI captured the attention of many at popular music festival South by Southwest and then toured in London, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia and others. Currently in Japan, he is creating his unique sound and collaborating with various artists. 日本とアメリカのハーフ。父親の影響で、ビートルズ、スティビー・ワンダー、ボブ・ディランなど60年代のロックに深い影響を受けて、独学で歌、作曲、ギターも学び、エッジの利いた歌声と滑らかなメロディの調和が特徴的で、楽器もピアノやギターなどマルチな才能を魅せる。 16歳の時、新しい音楽の道を求めて住み慣れたアメリカを離れ日本へ。日本で初めての給料を手にすると、そのお金で彼はギターとマイクを購入し、自らの曲のレコーディングを行った。 2017年エレクトロニックDJとコラボした *Groovy workshop. “Party Girl feat. SHōTA LōDI” をリリースし、日本の iTunes ストアの EP チャートで一位を記録。 2019年複合イベント「サウス・バイ・サウスウエスト（SXSW）」に出演し、注目を集めた。 その他、ロンドン、セルビア、ブルガリア、ギリシア、クロアチア、世界各地でのライブも積極的に行なっており、企業CM、モデルや、役者としての経験も活かし、今後マルチに活動していくアーティスト。現在、日本でユニークなサウンドを制作中。
