Biography & Metadata

Ekeh Precious Chidubem, known professionally as Dicey, is an award-winning Nigerian vocalist, songwriter, audio engineer, music producer, and executive. Blending Afrobeats, AfroRnB, and Afro Soul, Dicey combines musical performance with complete technical oversight of his sonic output, managing his production, vocal mixing, mastering, and brand identity. Dicey officially launched his recording career in January 2022 with his debut EP, Trouble in Paradise. That same year, he founded Emperians Nation, an independent record label established to release original music, deliver high-grade audio engineering services, and develop emerging talent. In 2023, Dicey achieved widespread critical and industry recognition. His single was named Afropop Single of the Year at the Laoudit Music Awards, and his November 2023 debut album, Fire and Flowers, gained strong regional traction when its standout record "Toxic" debuted at Number 2 on the Talent Showcase Africa Radio Charts by Nam-Radio. Expanding his range into full self-production, Dicey opened 2026 with the release of Before it all Started, a self-produced project anchored by the focus track "Rules of Love." He maintained this momentum with the single "Oh My," the EP "Before the lights come back on" featuring "Friend Zone," and live acoustic showcases under his The Unplugged Sessions series. As an artist and head of Emperians Nation, Dicey continues to build a sustainable, independent ecosystem for contemporary African music.
