ItsyaboiKay

Born in '96 and raised in Walthamstow, East London, Kay is a producer bridging Trapsoul, Hip-Hop and R&B with the sounds of the South Asian diaspora. He's the producer and creative partner behind his wife and longtime collaborator, Maharani. Together they built the AnBae EP, which earned BBC radio play and a feature in MTV News' Bop Shop. Their track "Skyline" caught the ear of Timbaland, who called it ground-breaking for Tamil music. Kay's production also runs deep in UK Hip-Hop, including Clement Marfo's "Kobe" and "Montana." Now he steps forward with his debut producer project, '777'. Heavy 808s and late-night R&B, made in East London for a diaspora that stretches from the UK to Chennai and beyond. ➡️ '777' is out now.
