Zachary James

ZachJames.com @theofficialzacharyjames From the woods of Central Florida to stages around the world, Grammy Award-winning artist Zachary James has built a career without much interest in staying in one lane. A singer, actor, and recording artist with roots in classical music and a love of American songwriting, James has moved between Broadway, the West End, opera, film, television, and concert stages. His music brings those worlds together—cinematic, intimate, and grounded in storytelling, with threads of Americana, folk, country, classical music, and pop. His latest project, Dreaming of You, turns inward, exploring love, longing, distance, intimacy, and the unexpected places that begin to feel like home. James starred as Hades in Hadestown on London’s West End and originated Lurch in The Addams Family on Broadway. His screen credits include Succession, 30 Rock, Law & Order, and The Blacklist, and he has appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, LA Opera, and leading companies and orchestras internationally. Named BroadwayWorld’s “Vocalist & Performer of the Decade,” James has also been recognized by OperaWire among its “Top 30 Most Influential LGBTQIA+ Artists” and by Classical Post as a “Most Innovative Artist.”
