Biography & Metadata
Bright Lights is a 2x GRAMMY-nominated, 6x Platinum songwriter, producer, vocalist and DJ whose work has helped shape some of the most defining records of modern electronic and dance music. Raised in a small South Carolina town by a pastor (father) and teacher (mother), Bright grew up singing in church and began touring at just 12 years old. Her voice and songwriting are woven into landmark records of the 2010s dance era, including Porter Robinson’s “Language,” Hardwell’s “Never Say Goodbye” and 3LAU’s “How You Love Me,” alongside collaborations with ZEDD, Benny Benassi and Laidback Luke. Her influence extends into pop as well, with songwriting and vocal credits for Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Usher. Across hundreds of releases, Bright’s catalog has amassed more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide, spanning her work as an artist, songwriter, producer and featured vocalist. As a DJ and live performer, Bright Lights has appeared on stages around the world, including EDC Las Vegas and Mexico; ULTRA Miami, Korea, Japan and Bali; Red Rocks Amphitheatre; Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and a 35-city Live Nation U.S. tour. More than a voice behind major dance records, Bright Lights has helped soundtrack pivotal moments in electronic and pop music. Her unmistakable vocals, emotionally direct songwriting and forward-thinking production have made her a trusted force behind breakthrough records—and an artist with a legacy distinctly her own.
