Wilder Adkins

Calling on an array of influences, from Appalachian folk ballads to Indian devotional music, Wilder Adkins’ introspective yet hopeful demeanor has earned him national recognition for his songwriting abilities, landing him on revered stages from Lincoln Center and Sundance Film Festival to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Originally from Georgia and a onetime high school bandmate of Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt (Lotus Plaza), since settling in Alabama Adkins has also worked alongside some of Birmingham’s leading lights, including songwriter Justin Cross, country blues picker Early James and Bright Eyes collaborator Taylor Hollingsworth.
