Biography & Metadata

Art of Dying has released 8 albums, selling over 100,000 copies and amassing over 200 million streams. The band's major label debut on Reprise/Warner Bros put them on the road all over the US and put them on the map as one of Canada's stand out post grunge/rock artists. Dan Donegan and David Draiman of Disturbed signed the band to their imprint at Warner Bros. Draiman dubbed the band "Eagles in Chains" compairing their style to Alice in Chains meets the Eagles. Top 10 US radio hits include "Die Trying", "Get Through This" and "Sorry". Get Thru This was #1 at sirius octane in 2011 and was the most played song that year on that station. Tear Down The Wall from their Better Noise release went top 10 at sirius and amassed over 25 million streams without even being released to radio. After going indie in 2016 the band released the Nevermore EP which currently has 22 million streams. Following that, Ready For A Good Time and Wont Look Back currently have over 10 million between them. Not being signed to a label anymore hasn’t slowed them down! Formed in Vancouver in the mid-2000s, the band released its eponymous debut in 2006 on its own label, Thorny Bleeder, resulting in critical acclaim both at home and abroad, and lead to UK/US tours with the Seether, Disturbed and Theory of a Deadman
