Edwin Canito Garcia

Edwin Canito Garcia was born in the Lower East Side of New York City to a first generation Puerto Rican family. At a very young age his parents relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to escape from poverty and economic disparity of the Lower East Side and NYC, but keeping his Puerto Rican music and traditions close to home. He is the grandson of guitarist, Jose Garcia, of Conjunto Borinquen de Canovanas, PR. And their family trio, Trio Garcia 1943. Although his career as a musician has been somewhat silent, he has been an impactful musician amongst his musical communities in NYC, Puerto Rico, Tulsa and Nashville. He continues to push forward as an independent artist with most of Edwin Canito’s productions being composed, engineered and produced by him.
