Biography & Metadata

Tasita’s widely versatile voice along with her talented songwriting capabilities have earned her well-deserved praise throughout USA, Europe and Asia, whilst making a strong connection to Japan from working with a producer from Columbia Records Japan, Yukihiro Fukutomi, as well as Japanese producer DJ Kawasaki. Tasita has also had great success in the House Music arena recording and touring with Superstar DJ Duo Copyright and having songs released with UK Super House Music Label Defected, International label Purple Records among many others. Her voice has been described as a “vocal power house” and who wouldn't agree when you hear her hit song 'We Can Rise' released on Defected Records! During her career Tasita has toured and recorded with a myriad of bands and performers providing both lead and backing vocals. On Max Sedgleys album 'Suddenly Everything', she contributes her vocal talents to 9 of the well-received album songs. She has also toured and recorded with Reel People, Kyoto Jazz Massive and Sunlightsquare to name a few. In 2014 Tasita realised a dream to record her own soul EP titled 'Elements' which included the single 'Change My Heart' which jetted to the Top 10 of the UK Underground Soul Chart at No. 4 and spent 4 weeks in the Top 20. The single was supported with remixes from Tasita’s long time collaborators Kyoto Jazz Massive, DJ Kawasaki, Distant People & Chops Man and Challi Murphy. The EP songs received support from BBC Introducing.
