Biography & Metadata
Dark and dreamy vibes for late night drives www.girlaswave.com Girl As Wave is the dark and dreamy synth pop project of New York based singer, songwriter and artist, Marci Elizabeth. Formed in 2014, Elizabeth creates music that is nocturnal and ethereal with her longtime collaborator, producer/multi-instrumentalist, Jimmy Deer. “Girl As Wave makes emotional disillusionment sound strangely beautiful, balancing haunting vocals and moody production with a lyricism that feels both intimate and cinematic” - Earmilk “Girl As Wave has been crafting warm, dreamy synthwave for some time now, blending touches of new wave and dark wave to create something both distinctive and emotionally rich” - Ladygunn “Girl As Wave has been giving us quality, synth-driven material for years…her approach has remnants of golden-age indie synthpop acts like Class Actress (albeit with a darker approach) and Chromatics” - Vehlinggo
