Shemenzo

German-born artist Shemenzo leads a music project blending classical styles with electronic music, combining modern trends with retro influences. His passion for megamixes and experimentation began at 11, but at 15—after discovering Eiffel 65 – Blue Da Ba Dee—his musical vision shifted toward composition and production. In the early 2000s, he ventured into radio, first as an operator at a local station before directing and hosting his own national dance show. He won Los 40 Principales national production contest on Dance Kontrol by Oriol Carrio and DJ Piyuli. He also represented Spain at Eurovision Dance under the alias DJ Morales with the Italodance track Sarah, along with the interpretation and composition of Jonathan Varela. After years of collaborating, producing, and advising artists, Shemenzo debuted in 2022 with his own repertoire, paving the way for this new project aimed at surprising and entertaining beyond predefined rules. He teams up with Mexican DJ/producer Dave Mak to release Llorando se Fue (Lambada) and Bamboleo (featuring Gipsy Kings’ Tambo Reyes), both surpassing 2 million streams and airing across Europe. Shemenzo also reworked Streamline by Newton with DJ Nano, gaining airplay on Los 40 Principales Dance in Spain. More recently, he worked on Lovers (LaLaLa), frequently featured on El Hormiguero, one of Spain’s top prime-time TV shows.
