Biography & Metadata

Rooh Khan didn’t grow up around studios, instruments, or mentors. He grew up in a small village in Khamano Mandi, Punjab, where electricity was rare, water was inconsistent. He never had formal training. Didn’t own an instrument. Most days, he didn’t even have food. His mother worked as a labourer, cleaning gutters to make ends meet. There were days they went hungry. Nights spent wondering what tomorrow would bring. But through all of it, one thing stayed — his obsession with singing. No clear path, no support system — just a deep, unexplainable need to make music. That hunger turned into “Tasbih,” a track he poured his soul into. What started from nothing went on to cross 50 million+ views on YouTube, 11 million+ Spotify streams, and took over 300K+ reels on Instagram. The song didn’t just trend — it connected. From Punjab to Pakistan, UAE to South Asia, Rooh’s voice reached people who had never even heard his name before — and they felt him. Today, Rooh Khan is not just a singer — he’s a reminder that you don’t need fancy studios or big backing to make it. You just need heart. He's now working on new music with artists like Jyoti Nooran (of Highway fame) and Khansaab, and continuing to write songs that come from lived experience — not algorithms or trends. This isn’t just music. It’s survival turned into sound.
