Biography & Metadata
With 15M+ streams, 18M video views, playlist reach of 26M on Spotify, and back-to-back songwriting wins, Naomi Jane enters 2026 with momentum. A classically trained three-octave mezzo-soprano and multi-instrumentalist, she writes cinematic cross-genre pop, blending alt-indie, hooks, and flashes of country into a sound distinctly her own. Born in Manhattan and raised between New York City and Southern California, Naomi calls herself a “bi-coastal American mutt” shaped by New York grit and California groove. Theater, film, and live performance sharpened her sense of character and emotional arc; guitar, piano, violin, sax, and ukulele expanded her palette. Naomi’s songs are chapters, not one-offs. Self-directing her intertwined visuals, she builds worlds around each release, pairing diary-honest lyrics with cinematic imagery, recurring emotional threads, and stories that feel intimate and widescreen. Her breakthrough “Little Miss” won 1st Place in ISC’s 2023 Teen category, followed by honors from ISC and Unsigned Only. Her debut EP sweet talk introduced a concept-driven voice praised by LA Weekly, SPIN, Wonderland, EARMILK, Galore, and Billboard Argentina. In 2026, Naomi steps into her boldest chapter with Kinda Sorta Country, an 8-track album produced/mixed by Adam Zelkind and shaped with Nashville heavy-hitters including Greg Leisz, Jimmy Mattingly, and Joey Hyde. It fuses country storytelling, organic instrumentation, and alt-pop into her clearest statement yet.
