Biography & Metadata

A bona fide frontman with a flair for timeless pop hooks, Paul Peacock steps into the spotlight with his first solo effort - the sensational “New York Love Song”. Previously the singer with UK band Scapa Flow, “New York Love Song” marks Peacock’s foray into the singer/songwriter genre - an area in which he really shows his range. From the upbeat 80’s rock of the title track, the heartfelt piano ballad “Whatever It Takes”, the story-telling Americana of “The Ballad of Timothy H O’Sullivan”, to the downright darkness of “The Joker”, Peacock keeps us entertained and enthralled. Having moved from London to New York, Paul Peacock was enticed back into the music world when the New York Times selected the Scapa Flow track “If The Accident Will” for their 2023 Spring playlist. Peacock began writing and recording his own unique material in earnest, enlisting the help of producer Matt Chairavalle (Warren Zevon, Courtney Love, Debbie Harry, Joe Bonamassa) to really hone his sound. Together they created a riveting rollercoaster of a record packed full of evocative hits. Drawing inspiration from life in (and characters from) the vibrant and eclectic city, Paul Peacock’s cinematic, story-telling songs carry the meaty mainstream flavors of U2 & The Killers, a tangy taste of Oasis-esque indie Britpop brilliance, and are intertwined with the subtle hints of American soloist greats like Springsteen and Neil Young.
