Everen Maxwell

The tale of Everen Maxwell is one of wildest dreams and darkest nightmares becoming reality. After tragically losing his mother to cancer at the age of eight, Everen was placed in a music therapy program and found his love of production there. He spent the following years mastering his craft, learning how to transport listeners to fantastical worlds by combining medieval instrumentation with modern bass sound design and Biblical imagery. This set him on a path that resulted in him landing a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration with TheFatRat & Lindsey Stirling (“Warbringer”), releasing music with some of his dream labels (including the electro sea shanty “A Day at Sea" on NCS), officially remixing several of his favorite artists (Virtual Riot, PhaseOne, Ace Aura) and even performing at EDC Las Vegas. Amidst his music career achievements, however, Everen was losing a battle behind the scenes. His relationship with his family was beginning to fracture – torn loyalties, broken trust and failed attempts at reconciliation led to alienation from those he held closest to his heart. Family estrangement became ground zero for the creation of his first true artist LP, Waiting for the Dream to End. His most personal project by a mile, the cinematic dubstep album tackles the unique grief of losing loved ones who are still alive. A line written & sung by Everen on the single “Goodbye for Now” says it best: “It’s one thing to lose someone; how do you cope when it’s you who leaves?”
