Podge Lane

Podge Lane is an Irish alt-country artist celebrated for his intimate lyricism melded with experimental country instrumentation. With a broad catalog of raw concept records and energetic live albums, Podge embraces his country and folk leanings, with a uniquely droll and vulnerable edge. Having released his debut album, Outer Monologues, in 2021, Lane has set off on multiple solo tours of Ireland and the UK, performed at Ireland’s inaugural ‘You Roots Are Showing' showcase, and has supported high profile acts such as The Wedding Present, Rachael Sage, Florence Dore, Steve'N'Seagulls, Crywank, The Wedding Present, Rozi Plain, Charlie Parr and Vieux Farka Touré. "An artist who continues to redefine the alt-country genre." - The Grateful Web "He has the ability to convey the core of the human experience and will undoubtedly create ripples in the alt-country scene and beyond." - The Songweb "'A serious one to watch ... combining feel-good energy with painfully honest lyrics” - Hot Press Magazine
