Masa Takumi (a.k.a. Masanori Takumi ) is a Grammy winning multiinstrumental Artist, Compose, songwriter, Producer. In 2000, MASA debuted under the major record label BMG JAPAN in the rock band "siren" as a drummer.After the band disbanded he switched to working full time as a composer and producer. In Asia, he wrote hits for many major artists; his top single sung by “DA PUMP” has almost 200M view counts in YouTube. his top album sung by “EXILE” sold over 2 million copies, and his work on an artist called AAA's single "Call" won the Excellence Album Award at the 53rd Japan Record Awards.Masa has also done soundtrack work for Japanese animation titles such as "Claymore" and “Witchcraft."Over 40 Songs he has produced have made it into the top 10 of Japanese music charts. He also has worked with several major US artists, such as rock vocalist Eric Martin and legendary drummer Terry Bozzio as a producer. He wrote a song “Let’s Make A Video” for the artist and YouTube star “That Poppy” in Mad Decent label.He also wrote a song “Reflection” for Trey Songz; the album “11” which included “Reflection” made No.1 in iTunes R&B chart. Under the artist name of “Masa Takumi," he began his work as an true multiinstrumental artist, writing the songs and performing all the instruments on his albums. In 2023 his album “Sakura” won the 65th Grammy Awards for best global music album. in 2024 his Single "Kashira" was nominated the 67th Grammy Awards for best global music performance.
