Tash

Tash (born Rico Smith) is a founding member of Tha Alkaholiks, one of the defining groups of 90s West Coast hip-hop. Alongside J-Ro and E-Swift, Tash helped shape a sound built on sharp lyricism, laid back charisma, and a signature sense of humor. The group's run included five studio albums and the Billboard Hot 100 hit "Hip Hop Drunkies" featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard. Outside the group, Tash has built a respected solo catalog, including Rap Life (1999), which featured Outkast and Kurupt and topped the Heatseekers chart, and Control Freek (2009), produced in part by Will.i.am. Decades into his career, Tash's voice and flow remain instantly recognizable. His new EP, Attention Is A Drug, carries that same energy into a fresh chapter, reuniting him with Will.i.am on the official video and connecting longtime fans to new material while staying true to the style that built his legacy.
