Mutant-Thoughts

Dark synth vibes and cerebral, danceable Latin-adjacent beats. Colombian-born composer Han Luis Cera draws on the sounds of his roots - with bouncing claves set against rich synth textures, and the hip-shaking riffs of bassist Josh Lennox-Hilton - the band counterpose deep grooves with a lingering melancholia, making music which is darkly evocative while maintaining a strong pop sensibility. The band have had high profile attention - working with Grammy award-winning producer Sylvia Massy on their ‘Reality Suspended’ EP and playing at national festivals such as ArcTanGent, Wychwood, Dot-to-Dot and local alternative festival Simple Things in their hometown of Bristol. They released their debut album ‘MAKESHIFT_DNA’ on May 21st 2026 ‘Anyone looking for the freshest, weirdest, grooviest music around should keep this band on their radar’ - Tom Bruce, Noizze UK
