Definite Grooves – Biography May 2026 This East Yorkshire (UK) based duo of Andrew Eggleton and Danny Hird are definitely no newcomers to the house scene, having been making and spinning tunes since way back in the 90’s. As Definite Grooves in 2001 saw the first release, ‘Nothing Like The Sound’, signed to the legendary Dtension record label, owned by Full Intention. Following releases continued to snowball with major support from Radio 1's Danny Rampling and Pete Tong. The boys went on to perform at The Ministry Of Sound, Global Gathering and Miss Moneypenny’s. Danny has been a permanent fixture of line-ups for Deja-Vu in Hull – one of the longest running house parties in the UK. Their disco house sound has seen releases on some of the biggest labels in the industry, including Armada, Groove Culture, Sultra, and Nervous With 2026 in full swing, the guys are about to release their debut cut on Toolroom's disco imprint Fool's Paradise, after label honcho Mark Knight heard their tracks being played by another legend, Michael Gray. Definite Grooves are becoming a tour de force in their favoured genre now and are rapidly gaining the support and respect of many of the scions of the scene
