Q-York

Q-York is more than a group — it’s a legacy in motion. For over 2 decades, Knowa Lazarus (MC / Qreator) and Flava Matikz (DJ / Qreator) have been building bridges between cultures, carving their name in the global scene while staying rooted in the Hip Hop traditions that raised them. Their origin story mirrors the journey of the diaspora itself — from New York to California, Toronto to Manila — carrying with them the sound, struggle, & spirit of migration. Each city left its mark, shaping Q-York into a duo that embodies resilience, adaptation, & innovation. On their own, both stand tall: Knowa Lazarus is a commanding voice, a poet & performer who has rocked stages worldwide & amplified culture in arenas as #3x3TheHype! Flava Matikz is a master of rhythm, a DJ & producer with razor-sharp skills who can move a crowd from the underground to the mainstream, blending Hip Hop with Filipino soul. Together, they are Q-York — a super duo whose chemistry is undeniable. Among the first to bring this fusion of Hip Hop & diaspora identity to the forefront, they helped lay groundwork for others to follow. Not just artists, but quiet pioneers who proved that borders can’t contain culture. Their catalog, performances, & presence reflect not just years in the game but mastery of it. They are OGs of the industry, carrying the wisdom of experience while still pushing sound, style, & storytelling forward. This is Q-York: More than two decades strong, still defining what’s next.
