Biography & Metadata

Electra Barakos is an opera-trained singer from Los Angeles, raised in Athens, Greece, who traded the concert hall for electric guitars. A finalist on The Voice of Greece (Season 2, live shows), she brings a classical soprano's power and control to dark, dramatic rock. Her debut album "These Times" was produced, mixed and engineered by Mike Plotnikoff (Papa Roach, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, Kelly Clarkson). Its track "I Can't Breathe" features Phil X (Bon Jovi) on guitar and bouzouki. Singles "Tomorrow's Not There" and "These Times" — an anthemic pop-rock cut in the Kelly Clarkson / P!nk lane — both came with music videos, and her 2020 single "LoveLike" explored a sultry pure-pop sound (for fans of Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande). Her new single "Lies" (Nov 6, 2026) returns to her darkest territory: guitar-driven modern rock in the Muse / Evanescence lane. A song for everyone who's done believing the official story, building to a huge dramatic chorus.
