Simon Orton

Raised on a Queensland farm, Simon Orton brings a grounded authenticity to his music. An Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, poet and storyteller, Simon writes and reimagines songs through the lens of grief, love, family, trauma, recovery and hope. His sound sits between country, acoustic storytelling and lived-experience songwriting. With a deep, gravelly voice and an instinct for emotional honesty, Simon creates music that feels less like performance and more like conversation. At the heart of Simon Orton Music is a simple purpose: creating songs that help people navigate life’s hardest moments — giving language to pain, dignity to survival, hope through loss, and encouragement to find a new way forward.
