Frida Amani, a native of Arusha, Tanzania, discovered her passion for music Young at 7 years old she knew she wanted to do music,while accompanying her grandparents to church. She pursued her academic interests by studying media production in college, honing her skills in the industry. In 2014, Frida made her debut in the music scene, releasing her first song, which quickly gained traction and received airplay on local radios in Arusha. Her talent and dedication led her to participate in the prestigious singing competition, Bongo Star Search, in 2015, where she achieved a commendable third place. After a brief hiatus, Frida returned to the music scene in 2018 with her debut single as a professional musician, "JIBEBE," which garnered widespread attention and acclaim throughout Tanzania. However, it was her 2021 release, "Madam President," that solidified her status as a prominent figure in the industry. "Madam President" serves as an empowering anthem, inspiring girls and women to embrace their potential and strive for greatness. The song's impact resonated deeply with audiences nationwide, earning Frida widespread recognition, including acknowledgment from the President of Tanzania, who affectionately referred to her as the "Madam President of Rap." Through her music, Frida Amani continues to uplift and inspire individuals, leaving a lasting legacy in the Tanzanian music landscape.
