Marcus Alland’s journey has encompassed all of these attractions and manages to add to the voyage with each stage of his life. Marcus Alland was born in Queens, New York - a fitting environment for a King as such. In his childhood years, Marcus became interested in the sounds of the drums and other instruments at his church. The reverberations captured Marcus’ ears and heart; thus, leading into his first adventure of making beats. For hours on end, Marcus crafted beats and soon found his own cadence and rhythm. Two years later, at the age of sixteen, Marcus began on his next adventure in adding lyrics to the mix. With trial and error, he mastered full and complete songs unique to him. Marcus never desired to fit in and has made a stamp of the good vibes filled with substance and authenticity we hear today. Some of Marcus’ influences are the likes of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Hit-Boy just to name a few. Artists as such remain true to themselves and influence their audience to do the same.
