Growing up in and around Bristol sound systems, Producer Ghost Buttons continues the city’s legacy of fusing diverse musical styles. Inspired by the raw, lo-fi techniques of early hip hop; the heartache of fifties torch songs intertwines with densely textured soundscapes that drift from brooding dub to gothic intensity. The debut single Dark Matters and Dark Matters (Downstep), featuring Jo Bevan of Desperate Journalist earned praise from Massive Attack's Stew Jackson and Producer Mark Saunders (Depeche Mode, The Cure, Tricky,). Feels Like Love featuring the voice of Dee Rüsche, former frontman of industrial trio Noï Kabat, followed shortly after, alongside its dark electronica remix, Feels Like Love (Visceral) which earned the no.1 spot on Spotify’s official Fresh Finds Experimental playlist. 2026 brings Ghost Buttons' most ambitious release to date – The Day After Forever, featuring French vocalist Abyssan, alongside guest DJ mixes for Bristol's BCFM and Loose.fm. Eddy Temple Morris called it "a dark, moody and atmospheric tune which wears its love of 90s Bristol post The Wild Bunch beats that would have walked onto my XFM show."
