Biography & Metadata

NEVERMORE moves forward under the leadership of guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams, joined by guitarist Jack Cattoi, bassist Semir Özerkan, and vocalist Berzan Önen. The spark that first ignited the band has returned with renewed focus. Originally forged in the aftermath of Seattle-based Sanctuary, NEVERMORE built a sound defined by precision musicianship, fearless songwriting, and emotional intensity. From their 1995 self-titled debut through landmark releases like Dead Heart in a Dead World and This Godless Endeavor, the band earned a global following and a reputation as one of modern metal’s most distinctive voices. After disbanding in 2011 and the tragic passing of founding vocalist Warrel Dane in 2017, their legacy continued to inspire musicians and fans worldwide. Fifteen years later, NEVERMORE returned to the stage in Istanbul on April 1, 2026, delivering a two-hour set to a sold-out, electric crowd. A new album is currently in the works, with a planned release in early 2027. In the meantime, the new lineup has taken to stages worldwide, breathing new life into the catalog. What once felt impossible is now reality. NEVERMORE is back. Older. Wiser. Still loud.
