Julien Daïan

Loose-cannon French composer, producer, saxophonist, label maverick, festival instigator and haphazard Jazz aesthete Julien Daïan, is always in step, in tune with the moment, yet tirelessly, recklessly cutting his way ahead. Since the turn of the millennium, he’s honed his talents on whatever has passed, and drew deep on each genre and influence he touched. After countless side-projects, and the latest album CUT-UP, Julien Daïan is dedicated to the preparation of his fourth album, “Suppose it is Butter”. We recognize his singular touch. Direct and effective melodies, plan-sequence pieces that are linked as many visions of a complex universe and always the same obsession. The madness of taking the listener on the dance floor like the window of a Greyhound bus.
