Herald K

Herald K is a Norwegian songsmith and singer based in Vienna, Austria. His album 'Mythologies' is now out: a collection of tracks exploring ancient myths & ideas through song, in Herald K's characteristic folk noir style, where compelling narratives, intriguing characters, recurring motifs, themes & ambiguities abound. A project grown into fruition during the pandemic, 'Mythologies' involves a fine cast of musical collaborators from Vienna. Unique soundscapes have been created, and central to the album sound is Stephan Steiner (Hotel Palindrone, Harlequin's Glance, Rembetiko), who recorded nyckelharpa, violin, accordion, concertina & tin whistle. Vocals, piano, bass, slide & steel guitars & harmonica also add to the totality of these recordings, which have already garnered many favourable reviews internationally, and concert opportunities alongside esteemed artists such as Freeman Dre (Can), Early James (US), and Kevin Dempsey (UK).
