Melancholic Thoughts

Melancholic Thoughts is a musical project created by Florent Caspi-Torrent in 2018, blending influences from rock (Muse, Keane, Dream Theater) with classical and film music (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, John Williams). The project’s debut self-titled EP was released in 2018 following a successful crowdfunding campaign, celebrated with a release party in Paris. Beginning in 2024, Florent shared a series of 28 introspective improvisations across Melancholic Thoughts' social media platforms. Combining music and luminous visuals, the project explored emotions and experiences shaped by the previous few years. The second EP, Harmony was released on June 13, 2025. Its title track was accompanied by a music video shot in the Rambouillet Forest near Paris. On October 9, 2026, Melancholic Thoughts released Éclaircie, the project's first song sung in French.
