IRXIUM

IRXIUM is a project exploring the 215-ish subgenres of electronic music, initially inspired by a Youtube video, “165 Sub-Genres of EDM,” by Spider Lily. The project – known as PRJX215 – has grown to 33 albums/subgenres, at present. Although each of these albums represents a different subgenre, and each has its own influences, the PRJX215 project as a whole has been influenced by Bishu, who helped me understand how to approach each genre in my own way; Eliminate, who helped me learn to use my DAW effectively; Skrillex and Fred again.., whose mastery inspires me to work continually on my production values; and The Crystal Method, whose work is the driving force behind my favorite IRXIUM album to date, The Age of Wonder. The IRXIUM release schedule may vary slightly, but at present I plan to release an album from PRJX215 every Friday, until the project is complete. Thank you for listening.
