President Zik, also known as Prezzy, is a Nigerian hip-hop artist, songwriter, and entrepreneur who has been a prominent figure in the music scene for over a decade. Born in Saskatoon, Canada, and raised in Zaria, Kaduna, Zik now thrives in Abuja’s dynamic music circuit, gaining recognition as one of Nigeria’s most versatile talents. Zik’s music career began in 2010, leading to the co-founding of BHP in 2012—a collective and label that became central to his creative journey. Through BHP’s celebrated mixtape run, he collaborated with top Nigerian artists such as Jesse Jagz, ODUMODUBLVCK, Zilla Oaks, and BOC Madaki. His music, blending hip-hop, R&B, and Afro-genres, has earned national radio play and features in international outlets like Slikour On Life and Spain’s Revista Young. Renowned for his introspective style, Zik’s songs like “Wallai,” “Tashi,” “Int’l Flex,” and “Nuthin 4 Free” showcase his meticulous lyricism and layered vocals, exploring themes of independence, hard work, and originality.
