Biography & Metadata
Melissa Galosi is an Italian pianist and composer. Her artistic research moves between tradition and contemporary expression, evolving in recent years toward an intimate and essential neoclassical language. In 2024, she released the EP Quiet Path, a collection of five piano pieces unfolding as a journey of growth, reflection, and transformation — like a garden blooming step by step. The EP follows her album Acorn, an eleven-track melodic journey inspired by the search for one’s true calling. Both projects were released under Moderna Records. This artistic direction is also reflected in her EP In the Garden, where Melissa explores the delicate and intimate sound of the felt piano, marking a shift from her classical background — represented by the album Games, released on the Col Legno label — toward a more essential and introspective writing style. Melissa Galosi graduated with top honors from the G. B. Pergolesi Conservatory in Fermo under the guidance of Enrico Belli. With a strong interest in contemporary music, she has taken part in monographic projects including the complete Mikrokosmos by Bartók and the complete Sonatas and Interludes by Cage. She has performed piano concertos by Mozart, Chopin, and Bach in renowned Italian theaters. Her new album Candor will be released on July 31 via Into Trembling Silence. The project features ten pieces inspired by memories, meaningful moments and emotions developed through many years of close work with children as a teacher.
