Me.Kai

PINK PLANETARY POET. Writing songs my ex’s mom probably listens to... Me.Kai is a Santa Barbara-based singer, songwriter, producer, and drummer crafting emotionally charged art pop that balances cinematic beauty with playful experimentation. Drawing inspiration from artists like Caroline Polachek, Charli xcx, and Chappell Roan, her music blends soaring melodies, layered vocal textures, electronic production, and deeply personal storytelling. After years performing as a live musician and releasing indie-pop and dance collaborations, Me.Kai has evolved toward a more maximalist sound—one that embraces both vulnerability and chaos. Her recent releases explore themes of love, identity, escapism, and self-discovery through dreamy soundscapes, glitchy vocal production, and immersive world-building. Whether she's writing about late-night longing, modern burnout, or euphoric moments of connection, Me.Kai creates songs that feel both intimate and expansive, inviting listeners into a colorful universe where emotion takes center stage.
