David Payne

David Payne, 26, was born and raised in coastal Milford, Connecticut and moved to Nashville in 2023 after his college baseball career was cut short by the COVID pandemic. A self-proclaimed “Concrete Cowboy,” David’s sound seamlessly blends his city roots with his country influences to create a sound that is best described as “countryish.” Since his debut, David has been featured in some of Spotify’s top country editorials such as All New Country, Next From Nashville, and Fresh Finds Country. In 2024 David accumulated over 1.25 million streams from over 475,000 listeners. He has also appeared on country music podcasts, “Boots and Whiskey” and “Country On Deck” and opened for SONY recording artist Matt Stell.
