Born and raised in Vienna, Tamara Flores is a singer, dancer, and flutist with Mexican roots on her mother’s side. Most of her music is in Spanish, with German woven in from time to time. Her songs speak of the strength that can be found in pain – of feminine power and a deep connection to nature. She weaves feminist messages, vivid imagery of the natural world, and themes of self-discovery into a powerful sound. Her song Chingona, for example, is a tribute to self-empowered women.
