singer-songwriter.Born and raised in Okinawa (Japan), the US, and Switzerland, YU-KA had built a global sensibility in musical creation as a child. She made her major label debut with the song “lullaby” in June 2022. In February 2023, YU-KA released her 4th major single “Hoshizukiyo”. The song was the main theme for the hit TV drama series “Hoshi Furu Yoru Ni”, and ranked No.1 on various charts. “Hoshizukiyo” has surpassed 100 million streams worldwide (as of January 2024),and has become a new standard number in the current music scene. YU-KA continues to change, but yet address listeners with her ingenious and genre-crossing sense, and hopes to create music that emphasize with each one of them. 2000年・沖縄生まれ、次世代のシンガーソングライター。幼少期をアメリカ、スイスで過ごす。15歳でアコースティックギターを手にし、17歳でオリジナル楽曲の制作を開始。かねてから映画や本が好きで、その頃に見つけた映画の主題歌を作るというオーディションで特別賞を受賞したことが現在の活動を始めるきっかけとなる。 2022年6月に楽曲「lullaby」でメジャーデビュー。 2023年2月にリリースした「星月夜」はドラマ『星降る夜に』主題歌に抜擢。各種チャート1位を獲得し、デジタル累計再生数が４億再生を突破。 2024年1月に1st Album「Brighter」をリリース。アメリカ・テキサス州で開催されたSXSWへの出演と、LAでのワンマンライブの開催も決定するなど、国内外で注目を集めている。グローバルなセンスを持ち合わせた洋楽と邦楽の間を漂うような音楽スタイルで、彼女自身も変化を続けながら音楽を届けていく。
