Biography & Metadata
Jasmin OMEARA blends the edge of indie rock with the emotion of indie pop, creating a sound that's raw, cinematic, and unmistakably her own. Based in Germany and shaped by the underground music cultures of London and Montreal, she crafts songs that live between worlds. Electric guitars meet pulsing synths, soaring vocals meet lyrical intimacy. Her musical identity thrives on contrast, and that contrast has become her signature. On the rock side, her sound channels the fierce spirit of PJ Harvey the unapologetic energy of Courtney Love and the texture of new wave and post-punk, all carried by a voice that’s powerful, direct and emotionally charged. Discover this side of her on the debut LP Lovely Creatures. At the same time, her Indie-Pop work produced in collaboration with synth-pop artist George Raquet (one half of COMA) dived into deeper emotional and melancholic stories. This collaboration ended in February 2026 with the release of the Bitesize Bruises LP. These tracks reflect her decade-long journey in electronic and synth-pop bands, including her time as bassist for Zoot Woman (replacing Stuart Price) and temposhark. Jasmin OMEARA is currently recording her new indie rock tracks set to be released throughout 2027. Whether plugged into fuzz or floating on synths, Jasmin OMEARA invites you into a world where genre boundaries blur, and what remains is authenticity.
