Biography & Metadata
Moving between stillness and crescendo, Star of Heaven from Stockholm, Sweden, weaves layered guitars, piano, and rhythm into cinematic soundscapes. Rooted in post-rock yet reaching beyond it, their sound leans toward the orchestral, atmospheric and emotive. In May 2026, the band releases "Kyrie VII", the first single from their upcoming third studio album "Kyrie", set for release later this year. The record takes its point of departure in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Grosse Messe serving as a subtle inspiration for the album’s overall dramaturgy, dissolving into the band’s own post-rock language. “The band is a five-piece featuring all the ingredients necessary for churning out post-rock ambience, but instead they use these powers to forge a deeper and more orchestral sound; ambient to the point of serenity.” – Primal Music "In Star of Heaven’s releases there’s a gentle musicality, a feeling that nothing is being ‘forced’.” – Nordic Music Review Members: Anna Löfstrand - piano, Rasmus Grip – guitar, Linus Hjerpe – guitar, Tove Rhodiner – drums, Marion Erlandsdotter - bass
