Tonwerck

Tonwerck is the solo project of Berlin-based composer and producer Tobias Rahm. Blending elements of electronica, synthpop, ambient, neoclassical music, and cinematic soundscapes, Tonwerck creates music driven by ideas rather than confined by genre. Inspired by his background in film, Tobias approaches composition as a form of storytelling. Atmospheric synthesizers, organic instrumentation, immersive sound design, and cinematic arrangements create pieces that evoke emotion, imagery, and narrative. Each track is designed as its own sonic world, inviting listeners to experience their own "movie in the mind." With the concept album Das Elektronische Herz, Tonwerck told the story of a small mechanical being searching for an electronic heart. The EP Old Boy explored themes of longing and memory, while The Thin Line Between expanded the project's musical palette with experimental rock influences, neoclassical textures, and ethereal vocals. Working independently from his studio in Berlin, Tobias also collaborates with a diverse range of vocalists, musicians, and creative artists, bringing fresh perspectives while preserving Tonwerck's distinctive cinematic identity. Alongside the project, he is composing the soundtrack for an indie fantasy adventure game. Across every release, Tonwerck creates immersive musical experiences that invite listeners to explore, imagine, and discover something new with every listen.
