Biography & Metadata

Baychimo is the project of Danish producer and composer Frederik Meyer. Baychimo explores digital nostalgia of the past, retro technology and the character that emerges from the worlds within older machines. Recent releases include Save State: Expansion Pack (via Sweet Chunk) and Save State: Memory Leak — part of a series inspired by low-poly jungle/drum & bass and retro video game worlds. As well as Personality Computer, exploring nostalgic operating systems. His track Fuck premiered on P6 Beat and was praised for being "living, floating and breathing as if it was performed with real hands". Over the years his live shows have received brilliant reviews at danish and international events in countries such as Germany, Ukraine & Iceland. At SPOT Festival 2017 the Jutland Station praised Baychimo for his concert at Dome of Visions and stated "[Baychimo's] set was like watching Bonobo, Modeselektor and Noisia come together for an anarchic, once in a lifetime performance. He’s definitely one producer to watch out for." Having produced for danish 'mono mono' his collaborations with them have been mentioned in Plastic Magazine, Electronic Sound Magazine and Bands of Tomorrow.
