Travellback is the sonic identity of Abhishek Kaushik — a music producer and mixing engineer blending melancholic textures with experimental beats. Known for his rumbling basslines, sharp snares, and unique synthesis, his sound walks the tightrope between nostalgia and the new wave, constantly evolving with every release. Trained in Western classical music from the age of 9, Travellback cut his teeth in the Indian music industry as a mixing engineer, contributing to hits by Asees Kaur, Inder Chahal, Karan Randhawa, Rajat Nagpal. His mix on Gal Karke became a breakout success, amassing over 400 million views on YouTube. He also handled mix and master duties on The Stock Market Anthem featuring Mumbiker Nikhil, Samrat and Hardbazy. In 2018, he stepped fully into the spotlight as Travellback, collaborating with vocalist Kuru to release boundary-blurring music. His sound gradually found a home among playlists, where tracks like Piya, Khayalon Mein, Jaan Kad Lende, and the haunting Sober (Instrumental) are frequently featured in Spotify mood- and travel-based mixes. He recently produced Lyrical Rapper Dead with Hardbazy for Ikka’s album Nishu - a gritty hip-hop cut that fuses old-school drums with moody, modern piano textures. Travellback’s sound, often likened to The Weeknd or Zayn, blends deep emotion with forward-thinking production, creating a sonic space that feels both classic and cutting-edge.
