Khontkar

Khontkar is a rapper, producer, songwriter, and entrepreneur from İzmir, Turkey, and a pioneer of trap music in the country. Emerging from Turkey’s underground hip-hop scene in the late 2000s, he built a distinctive sound influenced by Southern rap while shaping a new generation of artists and listeners. In 2009, he founded RedKeys Music, an independent label that became a driving force in modern Turkish hip-hop. Through mixtapes, albums, and collaborations, he became one of the scene’s most influential independent voices, known for street narratives, melodic experimentation, and forward-thinking production. As the driving force behind RedKeyGang, he helped bring trap music into the mainstream while maintaining an uncompromising artistic vision.
