Montez de Durango nace en el Pueblo de Bensenville, Illinois en el otoño de 1996. Jose Luis Terrazas fundador y originario de Cruz De Piedra pueblito en la sierra de Tepehuanes, Durango forma la agrupación con amigos de música. Comenzaron una agrupación que en poco tiempo cambiaría la forma de bailar y vestír en los bailes. Al igual iniciar un nuevo género de música en Regional Mexicano. Más de 7,000,000 de discos vendidos, 19 albums y 16 canciones en el Top 10 Latín Billboards. 6 Premio Lo Nuestro, 6 Premios Billboard. En el 2018 cumplen 22 años de Trayectoria.
