Gorka Urbizu

Basque musician, songwriter and producer, Urbizu’s life on stage began at age 14. With over 1,000 global shows under his belt, he is widely recognized as the frontman and founder of the iconic band Berri Txarrak, leading them for 25 years. In 2024, he debuted his solo career with the critically acclaimed album 'Hasiera Bat', a surprise release on the saddest day of the year followed by the 'Bakan' single series recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios. His solo work has already clinched some honors, including Best Album in Basque (MIN Awards) and Best Song in Basque for 'Etxe Bat' (Spanish Academy of Music Awards). Urbizu is also the creator of highly eclectic side projects like Peiremans+ or Katamalo and runs the label Only In Dreams, the creative hub for all his releases.
